“The Meeting Place” is a new release by Hugh Masekela, Machel Montano and Siparia Deltones produced by Doc Jones, Jester x DJ Puffy.
The legendary Hugh Masekela and the Siparia Deltones Steel Orchestra have collaborated to create an album entitled “Siparia to Soweto” and “The Meeting Place”, is the lead single from the forthcoming album.
The song is a creation from ace composer Carlton “Zanda” Alexander and Deltones director/arranger Akinola Sennon, featuring the late Masekela, Father of South African Jazz, and Trinidad’s King of Soca, Machel Montano.
This record is the inspiration behind Machel 40 – One Show – The Meeting Place, a night intended to connect Africa and the Caribbean, tradition and technology, the past and the future, in the heart of the present Carnival.
This version of “The Meeting Place” is an Amapiano Remix, channeling the sound from South Africa that has taken the world by storm.
